Pastel de Nata (Portuguese Custard Tart)

David first fell in love with Pastel de Nata in Macau, and later rediscovered it twice in Lisbon, the birthplace of this iconic tart. Since then, it has remained on his "must learn" list. In June 2026, that curiosity became a small obsession. After 6 attempts in 2 weeks, its finally getting somewhere,  every part of this tart was recreated from scratch inspired the thought of David's mum's love for Portuguese tarts and supported by many good foodie friends and family taste-testers along the way.

 

A tribute to Portuguese culture, Malaysia's historical Portuguese heritage, and a pastry loved across Asia and the world. Sometimes, the original really is timeless — simple ingredients, crafted with time, passion, and technique.
